Please submit completed proposal forms to the Office of the Associate Provost through this online form on or before the following deadline:

For Term 2, AY 2024-25 implementation — October 4, 2024

Please note that this deadline is final. No late submissions will be accepted.

The Office of the Provost’s Curriculum and Instructional Development Grant program aims to provide funds for curriculum and instructional development projects conducted by Academic, Academic Service, and Integrated School Faculty.

 

Categories:

A. General Curriculum and Instructional Development Grant:

1. Curriculum review (requires proof of departmental plan)
2. Development of a new curricular program
(requires proof of departmental plan)
3. New interdisciplinary course development as ESD
4. Materials development for an existing course
5. Teaching/Learning Innovation
6. P/Filipinization of a course or curriculum
7. Creating a diverse and inclusive classroom/course/curriculum
(requires syllabus, content of modules, materials development, teacher guides, and activities)
8. Developing a service learning component in a course (requires substantial revision of course modules to integrate the service learning component
Up to PhP25,000.00 Up to 6 units Up to two (2) terms (subject to the approval of the review committee) for the project, but an extension of up to two (2) terms may be requested at the end of the project implementation period to accommodate application/ implementation/ dissemination and evaluation of the project which are required in the final report.
* Outputs from this grant cannot be used to apply for the instructional incentive. However, research papers which are developed from project types 6, 7, and 8, and which are published and/or disseminated in a public forum, may be used to apply for the research incentive.
**Faculty may apply for another grant when the current GCID or LCC CID project is already in its implementation stage
***the deloading is granted to full time faculty to free up time to work on the project. Conversion of the deloading awarded may be requested given certain justifications. Approved deloading may be taken at any time within the duration of the project. For part-time faculty co-proponents, the equivalent honoraria will be released after the completion of the project and the submission of the final report.

B. LCC Curriculum and Instructional Development Grant: for projects undertaken by faculty teaching LCC courses, on areas of scholarship involving General Education.

3. SoTL/PAR/DBER/EBT for an LCC course
4. Developing a service learning component in an LCC course (requires substantial revision of course modules to integrate the service learning component)
5. P/Filipinization (not mere translation) of an LCC course (requires revision of the contents and materials of the modules to integrate Filipinization)
6. Developing a diverse and inclusive LCC course (requires syllabus, content of modules, materials development, teacher guides, and activities)
Up to PhP25,000.00 Up to 6 units Up to 2 terms for the project, and up to two terms for application/ implementation/ dissemination and evaluation (total: up to 4 terms)
* Outputs from Project Types 1, 2, and 3 cannot be used to apply for instructional or research incentives. Research papers developed from Project Types 4, 5, and 6, which are disseminated in a public forum and/or published, may be used to apply for the research incentive.
**Faculty may apply for another grant when the current LCC CID and/or GCID project/s is/are already in its/their implementation stage

***collaborative projects from three proponents coming from at least two disciplines may be given an additional 3-unit deloading depending on the nature of the project.
