Special CIDG: AI-Assisted Learning Environment

The Office of the Provost’s Curriculum and Instructional Development Grant (OP CIDG) program opens another category for individual faculty members wishing to set up AI learning and assessment systems for their courses. A 3-unit deloading* and up to Php7,000.00 is awarded to proponents of approved proposals. The project duration is two terms but can be extended for another term upon approval of request.

Deadline: October 14, 2024

The grant is awarded based on the following conditions:

  1. The proponent proposes to set up any of the AI learning and assessment systems to which DLSU has an institutional subscription, within existing courses.
  2. The proponent includes in the completion report a description of the AI learning and assessment system set-up in the course and any or all of the following:
  3. An evaluation of the AI learning and assessment system, teachers and students, including positive and negative impacts
  4. An SoTL on the use of AI learning and assessment system in the course**
  5.   Recommendations on how to maximize the positive and minimize the negative impacts of using AI learning and assessment systems
  6. The proposed budget is limited to reasonable connectivity, supplies (up to 20%), RA, and transportation (up to 20%) expenses.
  7. The proponent complies with all other applicable requirements specified in the Guidelines for the OP CID Grants.

*The deloading cannot be converted into an honorarium

**The SoTL (or other similar forms) produced based on the implementation of this project, if disseminated or published, may be used to apply for either the Instructional or Research Incentive, whichever incentive program is applicable, following the II or the RI guidelines.
