Biology Department Associate Professor and Br. Alfred Shields FSC Marine Station Coordinator Dr. Chona Camille Abeledo was chosen as one of the 2021 Southeast Asia Women in Science.
SEA Women is initiated by the Women’s Leadership Academy Alumni Network of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative and supported by the US Mission to ASEAN, women’s leadership non-profit Wedu, and Tyne Solutions.
It is a platform that allows leading women across industries in the region to connect and engage for collaboration and speaking opportunities.
This year, 27 women scientists were selected and only seven are from the Philippines.
