DLSU retains CHED autonomous status

De La Salle University has once again been granted autonomous status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for a period of three years, valid from September 16, 2024 to September 15, 2027.
The grant allows a private higher education institution to develop curricular programs, be exempted from the Commission’s regular evaluation and monitoring, and confer honorary degrees, among others.

CHED’s criteria underscore excellence in the following areas: Commitment to Program; Instruction, Scholarly Works, and Community Engagements; and Institutional Quality.

DLSU has maintained its autonomous status for 23 years since CHED started granting it in 2001.
