Lasallians won major awards in the Indonesia Model United Nations (IMUN) Conference held from July 19 to 21.
IMUN is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious MUN Conference in Indonesia hosted annually by the University of Indonesia.
Trained by the La Salle Delegation Model United Nations Training Team (DLS-MUN Training Team), all delegates won major awards. They are Gaye Justinia Delos Santos (Head Delegate, Honorable Mention Award at the UN Security Council), Maria Christiana Nicole Tijam (Honorable Mention Award at the UN Tourism), Giancarlo Misa (Outstanding Delegate at the UN Tourism), Mehriel Lao (Verbal Commendation Award and Best Position Paper at the UN Human Rights Council), and Xybastian Mathew Trinidad (Honorable Mention Award at the UN Security Council).
Past delegation member Althea Dela Cruz served as Assistant Chair to the UN Human Rights Council Committee.
Serving as primary trainers were Gaye Justinia Delos Santos and Xybastian Matthew Trinidad who were also delegates, and Arabella Lumanglas and Mish Lirio.
Accompanying the team was MUN Faculty Adviser Allen Surla from the Department of Political Science and Development Studies.
