With this year’s theme “Leverage IP to Finance Business Growth,” the Forum explored how intellectual property serves as a powerful catalyst for financial empowerment and enables enterprises to scale effectively within an increasingly knowledge-driven economy. The event gathered leading voices from diverse industries to examine the expanding role of IP in shaping business strategies and economic development.

Atty. Cruz served as a panelist for the panel discussion titled “ASEAN Session on Patent Commercialisation: Bringing Science, Technology and Innovation from Lab to Market.” The discussion focused on strengthening pathways that transform research outputs into viable market solutions, emphasizing the importance of robust commercialization systems in driving regional innovation.

Known for championing intellectual property awareness and technology transfer within DLSU and across the Philippine innovation landscape, Atty. Cruz shared his insights and expertise. He was joined by experts from around the globe whose perspectives underscored the critical role of IP in building competitive economies and supporting business growth.

Atty. Cruz’s participation reflects DLSU’s commitment to advancing a strong innovation culture in the Philippines by contributing to global conversations on IP management and commercialization. His involvement also affirms the university’s dedication to supporting inventors, researchers, and startups as they navigate the journey from ideation to real-world impact.
