As we conclude this academic year, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support, which has made our initiatives possible. We are delighted to share the video recordings of all sessions held under our Pantay Lecture Series (PLS) during AY 2023-2024 for your reference in case you missed any.

The PLS is an initiative of the LCIDWell Gender and Development Safe Spaces (GADSS) Unit, serving as a cornerstone of our efforts to democratize and promote discussions on social inclusion and gender diversity. You can access the recordings by clicking on the session titles below.

How Inclusive Language Cultivates Gender Equality and Inclusion in Society | 10 July 2024

“Why should we care more about grammar instead of caring more about people’s welfare? I think we should probably care more about people than our grammatical rules.” -Dr. Raymund Vitorio

“There may be a lot of perspectives…but at its core, human rights are not debatable. All of us have rights regardless of social status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.” -Ms. Anne Lim

“Dialogue is part of the interpretation of the Bible as a way to discern God’s revelation.” – Dr. Marilou Ibita

Making the Internet a Safe Space: The Case of OSAEC in the Philippines | 18 March 2024

“OSAEC (Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children) is a crime that needs to be reported. We must find ways to report it. We can do so many things by doing safe and sane online behaviors.” -Dr. Maria Caridad Tarroja

Care Work Matters, Valuing Women’s Work | 8 March 2024

“Care work is a basic life skill it is not a gender role.” -Ms. Leah Payud

Invisible Wound: The Nature and Mental Health Consequences of Psychological Violence | 11 December 2023

“If you are one of those who have experienced psychological violence, know that help is available. If you know someone who needs help, let’s reach out to them.” -Ms. Agnes Villegas

Exploring the Role of Women’s Economic Empowerment in Conflict Areas | 6 December 2023

“[Let us] ensure that women have a voice and influence in society, be it in politics or at work. More importantly, let us stop war and promote peace, because war is a form of violence against women (VAW).” –Ms. Ma. Ella Oplas

Again, thank you for your invaluable support and dedication to our shared vision of creating safe and inclusive spaces. Your continued support means the world to us. Let’s continue building a community where everyone feels valued and respected.
