We are pleased to share with the community that the 3rd of May 2024 marks a special moment for DLSU Econ’s history. From this day forward, SOE will be called the Carlos Tiu School of Economics in honor of the patriarch of the Tiu family and the founder of the Akari Lighting and Technology Corporation. The partnership includes establishing the Tiu Family Endowment Fund, which will cover scholarships, grants, and professorial chairs to position the School as the leading learner-centered academic research institution in the Philippines, specializing in economic development, structural transformation, and industrial competitiveness.
